A topical lesson for KS2 work related to Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. This is ideal for some enjoyable and informative creative writing activities around 5th November. The lesson involves exploring the events surrounding the Gunpowder Plot and then using this knowledge to write diary entries by Guy Fawkes. All of the key Gunpowder Plot information and some diary writing input is included in the teaching PowerPoint. This is a fun and engaging quiz that can be used at any time of year. It contains 20 multiple choice questions about some crazy Guinness World Records - they are virtually impossible to know, so it is all about the children guessing and having some fun! It is great to do in small teams as a 'back to school' ice-breaker, as it gets the children talking about some real nonsense...
